A Walk Through the Gardens

I decided to go on a photo walk yesterday to one of my favorite places!  Glencairn Gardens.  It was a beautiful day!  I met a couple of crazy squirrels along the way!  I did very little post editing on the photo's.  Just a little cropping and saturation.  Click on the link above and enjoy!  Can you feel the sunshine!

Last Bloom and New Beginnings!

My two gardenia bushes are blooming again!  I am not sure what variety they are but they bloom twice a year.  I remember when we came to look at this house 10 years ago.  It was November and the gardenia bush was blooming!  I knew that was a sign!

There has been so much going on these last couple of weeks.  Nick is at USC and his classes start today.  Jack and I both started school yesterday.  I am really going to enjoy my classes!  This semester I am taking Computer Graphics, Color and Composition and Typography.  I feel like I am back in art class in junior high school!  This is something I have always wanted to do.   I also found out this morning that I have been offered a part time job.  It will be ideal with me going back to school!

Life is good!

Going Back to School!

I am starting to get really excited now! I had signed up for classes this past spring at the local community college for Digital Design. I was not able to take all of the classes because I was offered a job and had to take it! I had been unemployed for a year.  I did keep one of the classes at night though. I only stayed at that job for 3 months. The drive was too far and there was not enough work to keep me busy.  I have now signed back up for 3 classes at night.

I picked up my books and art kit today!
When I saw the art kit I felt like it was Christmas!

It may take me a while to finish but I can do it! Now....just need to find a job!

I made homemade ratatouille last night for dinner!  Most of the items came from our garden our one of our friends gardens!  This is one of the easiest side dishes to make!

Eggplant - diced
Zucchini - diced
Tomatoes - diced
Red Onion - sliced or diced
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper

Saute the garlic and onions in the olive oil.  Add the vegetables and saute until soft.  Add the salt and pepper to taste.  Add the basil at the end.  You can serve this hot or cold!  As you can see I do not have amounts.  This is something that you can add a little or a lot of!  Enjoy!
